Bible Reading Plan

In the letters of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John, Jesus’s followers are encouraged, in the face of opposition, to stay true to what they already believe. That God is the light of the world, and that He showed us His great love through the life and ministry of Jesus. Jesus’s followers are encouraged to live out their faith by loving their neighbors and faithfully following the teachings of Jesus.

This Fall, you are invited to join us in a time of reading scripture together through an 11-week reading plan. This reading plan will be different than a typical daily reading plan. We are going to go intentionally slow through the letters of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John. Reading and re-reading each text, jotting down insights and participating in different study methods to really drive home the message of each text.

  • Readings will start on Sunday, August 25th and will continue for eleven weeks.
  • Simply use the reading plan and reflection prompts on the back of this sheet of paper as your guide.

Blessings, Pastor Jon Dietrich
  • Read the week’s passage each day that week.
  • Make a journal and write down new insights as you read and re-read the weekly passage.
  • Each week write out the passage for yourself, either all at once or a few verses each day.
  • In addition to reading, once per week listen to the passage using an audio Bible or a Bible app.
